The following is part of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) admissions process, carefully study to make appropriate decisions;

1.    Candidate eligibility: Candidates are to ensure they meet the minimum requirements for the course choice, which is usually very important. This may include possessing the required O'level results and UTME cutoff.

2. Jamb: Candidates are to sit for the Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and meet the school of choice cut-off as mentioned above.

3.    Post-UTME Test: Prospective candidates must apply for the ABU Post-UTME screening exercise, participate and pass with at least the minimum score of the school in the screening test as scheduled.

4.    Departmental Screening: Successful candidates in the Post-UTME will also attend the departmental screening exercise. This is where your academic qualifications, character, and suitability for the course are evaluated, and it is the last stage in your admission process

5.    Successful Candidates List: A list of successful candidates will be published by the school, i.e. supplementary list, and other lists based on the admission quota and needs. If your name appears on any of these lists, congratulations! you can now proceed to register for the course as applied.

6.    Acceptance and Registration: If offered admission, you need to accept the offer, pay the acceptance fee, and complete the registration process before the deadline.

Note that the admission process may differ slightly for Direct Entry candidates, who apply with a higher qualification, such as a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's degree. They also need to meet other requirements, such as the JAMB Direct Entry form, and participate in the screening exercise.
