The Federal University of Technology Akure - FUTA

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), is one of the old universities in Nigeria, its admission process involves:


1.   
JAMB UTME Examination: Prospective Candidates of FUTA are expected to sit for JAMB and get a minimum score of 180. As the case may be.

2.    Post-UTME: Candidates who have chosen FUTA as their first choice and have met the minimum score as required will participate in the FUTA Post-UTME screening exercise. The screening is conducted by the university and details of the date, venue, and other requirements for the screening will be communicated to candidates who enrolled for the test.


3.    Online Application: After the Post UTME screening, successful candidates will be required to complete an online application form on the FUTA website. The application form will require the candidate's personal details, academic qualifications, and other relevant information for a successful application.


4.    Screening of Credentials: The University will then verify the candidate's academic qualifications and other relevant documents submitted during the online application process.


5.    Admission List: As always, the University will release its admission list of successful candidates on its official website and candidates who have been offered admission will be required to accept or decline the offer and pay the necessary fees if accepted.


6.    Registration: Finally, admitted candidates will be required to complete their registration processes by providing additional information and documentation and making necessary payments.

ADMISSION:

Follow these steps to enter the admissions portal:

1.    Goto the FUTA website.

2.    Locate the "Admissions" tab.

3.    Decide the option from the drop-down menu, such as "Undergraduate" or "Postgraduate".

4.    Using the institutional guide on the website to complete the registration process.

5.    For admission status, select the "Check Admission Status" option, and enter the required details such as JAMB registration number or application number to view your admission status.

FEES:

The fees here may not be the actual Fees of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, (FUTA). These can change from time to time, we are just providing an overview of what the fees look like. Here we go!

UNDERGRADUATE (NEW STUDENTS)

1. Tuition costs range from N52,140 to N57,140 per session.
2. Non-refundable acceptance fees of N45,000.
3. Hostel fees range from N12,000 to N45,000, depending on the kind.
4. N4,000 per session ICT Levy
5. N25,000 per session for the development levy
6. Laboratory fees range from N2,500 to N10,000 (depending on the study program)
Charges for the library are N3,000 per session.

POSTGRADUATE (NEW STUDENTS)

1.    Tuition fees: N70,000 - N120,000 per session (depending on the course of study)

2.    Acceptance fees: N45,000 (non-refundable)

3.    Accommodation: N25,000 - N45,000 (depending on the type of hostel)

4.    ICT Levy: N4,000 per session

5.    Development Levy: N25,000 per session

6.    Laboratory Charges: N10,000 - N20,000 (depending on the course of study)

7.    Library Charges: N3,000 per session
